imo the nature of tumblr is that everyone is constantly thinking to themselves “yeah maybe what i post is a little cringey but at least i’m not posting [blank]” and everyone is thinking this in a big web of “at least i’m not THAT guy” like that xkcd gag of everyone on the train thinking everyone else is a sheep or the “their barbaric invaders vs our righteous whatever” cartoon and there’s no endpoint of who’s truly uncringe. i can’t even be like “stop putting the anime horse betting on my dash” bc someone would inevitably say “ok marvel fujoshi” and kill me instantly

i think the people who just log on, post out-of-focus amateur photography with three or fewer tags, and then log off are probably the most enlightened users of this platform
